    Program Overview

    This one-year fellowship aims to develop specialized expertise in diagnosing and managing ENT disorders in neonates, children, and adolescents. The program combines core academic content with practical training in pediatric airway management, hearing disorders, congenital anomalies, and otologic surgeries, with an emphasis on patient-centered care and multidisciplinary collaboration.


    Course Curriculum (12 Modules, 12 Months)

    Module 1: Pediatric ENT Anatomy and Developmental Physiology

    • Anatomical differences between pediatric and adult ENT structures

    • Embryological development of ear, nose, throat, and airway

    • Pediatric laryngeal anatomy and physiology of swallowing

    • Growth patterns and implications for ENT disorders

    Module 2: Pediatric Airway Disorders and Surgical Management

    • Stridor evaluation and laryngomalacia

    • Airway foreign bodies: diagnosis and removal

    • Tracheostomy in children: indications, care, and decannulation

    • Endoscopic airway surgeries and reconstructive techniques

    Module 3: Pediatric Otology and Hearing Loss

    • Congenital and acquired hearing loss in children

    • Newborn hearing screening protocols (OAE, ABR)

    • Otitis media: acute, chronic, effusion and cholesteatoma

    • Cochlear implants and bone-anchored hearing aids

    Module 4: Pediatric Rhinology and Nasal Disorders

    • Allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, and nasal obstruction

    • Congenital anomalies: choanal atresia, nasal dermoids

    • Epistaxis and nasal trauma management

    • Pediatric endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS)

    Module 5: Pediatric Pharyngology and Sleep Disorders

    • Tonsillitis, adenoid hypertrophy, and OSA

    • Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy techniques

    • Pediatric obstructive sleep apnea: diagnosis and treatment

    • Sleep studies and post-op monitoring protocols

    Module 6: Pediatric Head and Neck Masses and Tumors

    • Congenital neck masses: thyroglossal duct cyst, branchial cleft anomalies

    • Vascular malformations and hemangiomas

    • Lymphadenopathy, cystic hygroma, and tumors

    • Surgical techniques and imaging in pediatric head and neck masses

    Module 7: Pediatric Voice and Swallowing Disorders

    • Pediatric dysphonia: causes and management

    • Laryngomalacia, vocal cord paralysis, and papillomatosis

    • Evaluation and therapy for feeding and swallowing disorders

    • Pediatric videofluoroscopy and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation

    Module 8: Pediatric Facial Trauma and Reconstruction

    • Common facial injuries in children: nasal fracture, orbital trauma

    • Evaluation of facial nerve injuries and repair

    • Soft tissue and bony trauma management

    • Principles of pediatric facial reconstruction

    Module 9: Pediatric Allergy and Immunology in ENT

    • Role of immunotherapy in allergic ENT conditions

    • Pediatric immunodeficiency and recurrent ENT infections

    • Management of chronic rhinosinusitis and asthma overlap

    • Allergy testing and sublingual immunotherapy

    Module 10: Pediatric Otolaryngologic Surgery

    • Tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy, and ossiculoplasty in children

    • Adenotonsillar surgery: complications and revisions

    • Pediatric neck dissection and tumor removal

    • Minimally invasive ENT procedures in children

    Module 11: Audiologic and Speech-Language Rehabilitation

    • Audiologic assessment and hearing aid fitting in children

    • Multidisciplinary approach: audiologists, speech therapists

    Module 12: Research, Ethics, and Innovations in Pediatric ENT

    Clinical Training and Hands-On Experience
